Things are warming up…

Hello from the Yakima Valley!🙋🏻💕

We are now are enjoying warm weather and some interesting calls in the field service. We have been feeling like this is tough territory but this week Jehovah has fooled us and we have had some great calls! Bryan has shown the “why study the Bible” video a couple of times and two men have agreed to a demonstration of a bible study! We shall see! We also visited with an elderly man I had placed a magazine with who invited us in and enjoyed a few scriptures on the hope for the future and he told us he tries to pray every night. He also told us he was born in Oklahoma in a teepee! He is half Choctaw Indian. He lost his wife a couple of years ago, so we are going to go back and talk about the hope for the dead.

Having a Starbucks break in service.

Bryan and I took a drive down to Portland to see about a work car for him and as always, enjoyed the drive. The Columbia river is high from mountain snow thawing.

Here is a lock and dam near The Dalles, Oregon. The water was gushing thru there.

Love you all!….oh I won’t forget putting a few pictures we got from Kyle on here.

And then there is the Caribbean Icon….

🤣😂 that’s our boy!🦋

Just an add on…

Oh I forgot to tell you about our new doggy! (Well our landlord..) So for about 3 days a stray dog was hanging around our neighborhood garbage bin. Now the Easterlys had just gotten rid of their to big and disobedient dog even though they loved her and miss her. She was just to much dog and always bad. Ran Jimmy into a tree and broke his ribs.  They gave her to a family about 30 min away about 3 weeks ago. But Jimmy has been so sad since. So now this stray puppy…they put food out for her and she has seems to have adopted our little compound! She doesn’t seem to bark, is very obedient but maybe has been abused, because she is very skiddish and scared. She is like a small husky, with blue eyes!

love you all! 🦋

A lost sheep…

hello!

We had our assembly last weekend. It was wonderful of course! It most definitely wasn’t in an assembly hall. Sort of looked like a huge shed, folding chairs. But it worked. Bryan gave the babtism talk with 3 out of the 8 babtized were from Prosser. Brother Lett was so fun to listen to. And even though we heard he was sick and not feeling well, he was out there greeting everyone in the long line that waited to shake his hand.

Here a group of us with Haylee (second from left) right before she got babtized

This is Claire and her 13 yr old daughter who is holding her (Claire’s)1 month old son. I have the privilege of studying with Claire since she was just reinstated.

This week there was a animal fair that several of the young people in our hall had animals in. They raise and then show them at this fair and then people bid on them. It does seem to take a lot of their time, but they get school credit for it and make some money when they sale them.

Our car group today

So today in service we had a nice experience. We checked out a territory this morning and decided to work in it this afternoon. So there was a name of a sister listed who lived in this territory. We had never heard of her. So a sister in the car group told us she is inactive and had been for awhile. So Bryan and I went to the door to introduce ourselves to her. We have no doubt that the angels directed us to her today. She was so sweet! She takes care of her blind disabled brother and her husband has been disfellowshipped for 20 years. But he set up the Broadcast for her and expressed he would like to come back to Jehovah. (She’s telling us all this…) then she said that today she called out to Jehovah, something she had not done for a long time, and then this afternoon we came. 😭 I almost cried! She deals with depression and anxiety. Bryan shared some encouraging scriptures with her and said a prayer with her. We exchanged numbers and hugged her. I am very hopeful for her! Jehovah was reaching out to this precious lost sheep! 🦋
