Oregon…

  • Hello!

We took a trip to Bend Oregon this past weekend. The Easterlys, who we rent from, have a daughter who has a place down there where we could stay. It was really, really nice apartment above a 3car garage. But the view of the 3sisters mountains was amazing! The whole feel around there felt like Colorado. The smell of pine and fresh crisp air and blue, blue skies. The ride down there, about 4 hours took us thru such interesting terrain, from sage covers hills to mountains and then down into the Columbia river gorge back up to huge  wheat farms, high dessert, and all along the west was the Cascade mountain tops (old volcanoes) standing snow covered giants, quietly praising their Creator. 🦋

It was a little cloudy at this point so it was hard to see the mountains in a picture. But that could be Susan’s house with a little elbow grease! This is at Goldendale Wash. beautiful place.

One of those is Mt Hood.

This shows the place we stayed and the view from their yard during the day and at night. Also a picture of a bridge we crossed on the way
The pointed peak of Mt Jefferson in the background

That is driving up to mt Bachelor. And a picture of a deep gorge we crossed(not the Columbia gorge)

Those pictures show the 3 Sisters.  (I could relate to that! 😜)

Otherwise life goes on as usual. We have our assembly this weekend and the CO visit in 2 weeks to it will be busy.

Meanwhile….in the Caribbean…

Oh..and I will throw in a picture of our favorite service baby, Cavyn watching a Caleb video

Love you all, keep up the good work!🦋

Rattlesnake mountain…

Brr! It was a cold windy day here! Bryan took some great pictures out in service today on the Rattlesnake mountain ridge. The highest point being about 3,000 feet about sea level. It’s the northern most part of our territory. Not many homes but a lot of cool old abandoned out buildings!

Love this barn! In the distance you could see clear to a Oregon!

Then down by Prosser all the Cherry trees are blooming.

love ya!🦋

Farm life…

We keep learning so much about farm life around here. This time of year they bring all the bee hives back from winters in California. They bring them back to pollinate all the fruit trees…apple, apricot, cherry trees. So there are bees everywhere in the country side but they have no interest in people, they have a job to do!🐝

Portable bee boxes

We also see all the farm workers working in the fields. I took this picture of some guys putting up twine for the hops (what they make beer out of) that will grow up the tall poles…

What is funny is I think they thought I was the immigration lady..taking their picture. The local sister said, “Great..they will probably all go into hiding.”

Car group…Bryan is trying to find where to click the camera🤣

love you guys!🦋

Joyful…

Hello family 🦋

We had a lovely and busy weekend. Finishing up the tract work, then we saw a clear night with a beautiful full moon when we went to the late Memorial. You know we were one of the last to have it, only Alaska and Hawaii after us! The next day our visiting speaker gave a great talk and then we had a wonderful get-together for the friends where they interviewed the speaker and we had yummy barbecue ribs and a lot of other food. Also a young sister played the guitar and sang some Original Songs from JWBroadcast. Then they got the elders as a group to sing us a kingdom song! It was the jivey one we all like to sway to….number 57…”it’s the person, not the place…” everyone loved it! That was a huge deal for the friends because they had never seen the elders here interact,  having fun,  being goofy. It was joyful.☺️

Our annual Memorial picture. Missing our boy…
But he was having fun on Grand Turk island for his Memorial 💕
Had to show you how baby Cavyn felt about the late Memorial with his parents Tim and Bree 🤣
