Just relaxing…

Our first day to just get out and explore was this afternoon. No studying for tomorrow. So most everyone took off this afternoon and explored the area. All the young’ins went swimming at the beach. Bryan, Paul, Tina and I drove down to Flagler beach and had a late lunch and walked on the beach. Then Bryan and I had to get back to do the cart witnessing on the trail by the school, between 5:00 until 7:00 pm. It was a lovely evening, nice breeze and lots of birds to watch, but less people walked by than when we use the cart on the trail in Charleston on Sunday mornings!

Lunch by the beach.
This was their key lime pie!
I think this was on an assembly about what NOT to do while cart witnessing!!

I forgot a picture…

I forgot to show the picture of our class studying tonight. They ask Bryan to kinda, sorta take the lead. It was very informal!

And this is my buddy, Tina and her husband Paul from Kansas City. They also raised 2 boys. The only other parents in the class.

It’s Friday!

We did it! We finished one week of classes! Tomorrow is the exam and after that I do not want to read for 24 hours….and then I’ll start studying for Monday. Today we took a class photo. Forever memorialized on the big tv screen that scrolls thru all the 76 classes before us, in the lobby of this school. Some day , when I have time, I want to stand there at that tv and watch all the pictures of the previous classes. I’m sure I would see some familiar faces.

Every Friday afternoon our last class is a taped Gilead lecture usually from a governing body member. Today it was one about the faithful and discreet slave. Very cool. Then after supper most of our class went back upstairs to the classroom to study for the test together comparing notes. It was a little crazy. Not as controlled as class!

The class of circuit overseers is leaving this weekend and I am going to miss a couple of those sisters I have bonded with! One young couple from the Memphis circuit that the Hunters visited I really liked and a couple from a Denver circuit I love! We run into them at the breaks and at lunch. All 5 classes eat together for lunch.

Now for some pictures…

Well, we took a trip to the Promise Land today. But you can go to! We looked at all the maps in the Bible and the section in the Inspired book on the promise land plus media showing the land today. It was so fun! On the test Saturday we have to identify a lot of places.

We also had a class on endurance. Remember I said I had a challenging assignment? They assign these parts before they even meet us. So another sister (Candy Marrow) and I were assigned to be interviewed on how we have endured.  I tried to get out of it, thinking compared to others even in the class, I haven’t faced severe trials! But the instructor insisted, and a very long story short, he pulled our tears out. And in front of everyone I had to talk about the stress of how much I worry about my loved ones and….. about losing  Mom. Enough said. 😭 Candy talked about her unfaithful first husband. She has an amazing guy now!

Saw Maggie DeAnglo working in the kitchen today!
Our morning text group. The young couple are in the Russian congregation in Queens NY. The brother in middle is so funny!

Back to studying.🦋

Wednesday

Here is what we pull to class every day. Full of books, bibles, iPads, pens, highlighters, and notepads. These things really save our backs!
Here’s a couple of my favorite girls! Shavon and Savannah. They both worked at Warwick with Hannah and Olivia Dick. The little one is our baby of the class from Hawaii. And yes that’s a flower in her hair! 🌺

On Wednesdays the brothers only have the class right before lunch so us girls get an extra hour and a half for a free study period! Then after lunch we have cleaning of our room on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. So this has been a nice break today.😜

We studied the words index and glossary in the back of the revised new world translation today. Did you know at the end of the words index there is a section on the numbers in the Bible? I never noticed it before!

I have a challenging assignment for class tomorrow. Lots of prayer!!

🦋

Hi folks!

hi folks!

So I feel like we are in a different time dimension. We (the class) feel like we have lived thru weeks together! And our brains feel like it too.😣 It is fansinating. We have 4 units a day to prepare for. Using the Insight books and the Scriptures inspired book a lot. Some of the classes, I feel like a stupid head, others are amazing. I love the lessons on Godly devotion and godly fear. We have been studying the way the Bible has been translated and features of our amazing New World translation. Check out the foot note in the big old reference bible at Joshua 13:5. 😄You can use the jw library. I thought it was interesting to learn about the Gebalites.  That foot note is not in the revised gray bible.

Love you all!❤️🦋

Sunday

Wow, busy day. Went to our congregation this morning. It was a 9:30am meeting in central Daytona. They were so nice and welcoming! We drive with the other couple assigned there. A young couple in there 30’s from Ohio that are 6th generation Witnesses! They were at Warwick for over a year…I can’t remember how long all these couples have spent at Warwick.  Then we spent the afternoon studying and visiting in our study/library for our Class. It’s at the end of our hallway. There are certain ones that just migrate there and hang out and tell stories. Several couples just stay in there rooms more and we rarely see them. “Teachers pets” who will know all the answers probably.😜

Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of our lives….🙄 I believe that’s true for everyone. Not profound.

love to all and good night.🦋

Today

Hello family! Just got back to our room after a cookout here with our class. The grills on the property are everywhere and so pristine clean! They provide all the grilling utensils and paper products. It was a hot muggy and full of bugs Florida evening! But the fellowship was grand. 😆

Here’s a few of the sisters. Getting to know each other.
Here’s a picture for you nature lovers. Isn’t he cool?
And here my “kitchen” to make Bryans ice tea. Tricky trying to keep everything neat and clean up to Bethel standards.

back to studying! 🦋

Taking walks

The area around the a facility is beautiful! We take walks on the trails. A city trail goes right thru the property. It goes down to the intercostal waters where there is a lot of nature! Although crazy people on vacation feed the squirrels and they are creepy and tame and come up and seem to beg for food! But then a amazing white hawk came down and landed so close above us and loudly made himself known and the squirrels scattered! Thank you Mr. Hawk.🤗

Look close you can see Mr Hawk.

Look who we saw!

Saw Tammy at lunch today! This is a sister Bryan’s mom aided into the truth when we all lived in Deltona Florida. She works outside on the grounds.
